Ursula

has a background in classical ballet. She attended the Royal Ballet School in London and danced professionally in Ireland and Germany. During those years she also became interested in the development of young children. She decided to go back to college to become a Montessori teacher and completed her training at the AMI Montessori College in Dublin. She spent ten years teaching in various Montessori schools in Paris, London, Chicago, and Los Angeles. Ursula first tried a yoga class when she joined the local family “Y” 5 years ago and soon became a regular on the mat. Soon after this, she realized that yoga offered much more than physical benefits when her practice helped her cope with a series of challenging medical treatments. Inspired to take her studies further, Ursula went on to complete her teacher training at Livyoga in 2007. She has attended seminars and workshops taught by Cindi Lee, David Nichtern, Shiva Rea, Gary Kraftsow, Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa and John Friend. Most recently she completed a post-partum teacher training course with Mary Barnes of “Yoga for Two.” Ursula lives in Summit with her husband and two teenage daughters.
