Kids Classes

  •  LivYoga will provide a 45 minute yoga session. Please arrive no earlier than 10 minutes before scheduled start time.
  • Please do not allow any other children into the studio who will not be attending the class, as they distract the class. All children are subject to fee.
  • Children should not have anything to eat at least 1 hour prior to the start of yoga. Please try to monitor their sugar intake before coming to class as well.
  • Do not bring food or beverages into the studio. You are permitted to bring water or you may purchase a bottle for $1.
  • Although we want the participating children to feel comfortable and to have fun in the studio, they should remember that they will have to share the space with other students and teachers. Students are encouraged to respect the studio, the props, the decorations, and each other. Guardian is responsible for broken or damaged items.
  • LivYoga reserves the right to refuse unruly children.
  • Parent or guardian must safely transport participants in and out of the studio.

Class Suggestions

Arrive at least 10 minutes prior to start time to allow time for check-in and spend a few minutes getting ready.

  • Let the teacher know of any injuries or limitations, or pregnancy.
  • Turn off all cell phones and pagers. Please, no exceptions as this is a courtesy to the others in the class. If it is ABSOLUTELY necessary to have a cell phone, it must be worn, and on vibrate mode as to not disturb the class. Consider scheduling a private yoga session where you may be free to bring your cell phone.
  • Food/drinks/gum are not permitted anywhere in the studio. Water is permitted.
  • Do not wear fragrances or perfumes.
  • Bring a towel or rent a towel if you sweat in class.
  • Try not to enter class late or leave early. This will ensure that you and the rest of the class get the full benefit as there are many subtle and powerful aspects that you may not be aware of.
  • By keeping talking to a minimum you develop the meditative state that will bring your practice and concentration to a high level.
  • Do what you can and listen to your body.
  • Practice a non-competitive and non-judgmental attitude (both externally and internally).
  • Remember, mind over matter.  If you think you can’t do it, you won’t be able to...
  • Listen and respond to your body. Know that there is no ‘wrong way’ to do this.
  • Challenge yourself to stay where you are. You don’t have to do what someone else does.
  • Practice going inside yourself during the class.
  • Use rest poses anytime you feel like it and know you are still doing something good for yourself.
  • Open your mind to new teachers and classes and discover the new experiences that come with it.
